1. If the engine is hot, allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes after turning it off.
2. Press the expansion tank cap and slowly turn it counterclockwise until it can be removed. It is recommended to take the cork through a rag so as not to burn yourself.
3. Place a suitable container under the left side of the radiator, unscrew the drain plug and allow the liquid to drain. If no drain plug is provided, disconnect the lower hose on the right side of the radiator.
4. After the liquid has completely drained from the radiator, reinstall the drain plug or lower hose and drain the liquid from the cylinder block, for which you need to unscrew the drain plug located at the rear of the engine from the flywheel side (see D/photo 22.18A). When finished, reinstall the drain plug.
