Surface treatment
Surface treatment begins after any coating has been removed from the surface.
For surface treatment, do the following:
- carefully clean the areas connected by welding;
- degrease the surfaces with a solvent to prepare them for electrozinc coating;
- apply a few micron thick electrozinc coating to match the coating originally applied at the factory;
- rinse the treated surfaces with water;
- sand with abrasive swabs;
- clean;
- dry.
Attention! The treated surface must not be touched with bare hands.
Deposition of substrates on deformed surfaces
To apply substrates to deformed surfaces, do the following:
- apply a special zinc synthetic mastic;
- treat the surface with pumice;
- apply, if necessary, mastic for final processing;
- treat with pumice;
- apply a pre-coating (primaire) in the zone of mastic processing;
- apply a two-component primer to the entire repaired assembly;
- perform heat treatment for 30 minutes at 60°C;
- cool;
- treat with pumice;
- clean.
Use a certified DALIC installation to restore the zinc coating.
Deposition of substrates on undeformed surfaces
To apply underlays to non-deformed surfaces, do the following:
- apply a pre-coating (primaire) in the zone of mastic processing;
- apply a two-component primer to the entire repaired assembly;
- perform heat treatment for 30 minutes at 60°C;
- cool;
- treat with pumice;
- clean.
A certified DALIC installation must be used to restore the zinc coating.
