1. Unscrew the ignition distributor, remove the fuel pump and ignition coil.
2. Remove the ignition distributor bracket.
3. Unscrew the spark plugs from the cylinder head.
4. Remove the thermostat and unscrew the thermostat housing.
5. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds.
6. Remove the pulley from the camshaft.

7. Unscrew the bolt of the plate holding the camshaft, remove it and the camshaft sealing ring.
8. Remove the camshaft from the cylinder head.
9. Compress each valve spring in turn using the appropriate tool and remove the lock crackers, then release the tool and remove the remaining valve elements.
10. Remove the valve stem seals from the valve guides and then remove all the valves. If there are signs of damage on the ends of the valve stems, remove them with an emery stone.
