- A - 21.0 mm.
- B - 14.0 mm.
- C - 5.85 mm.
The cylinder head is marked in the repair area located on the side of the exhaust system (holes 3 and 8 are drilled).
The second identification is located on the timing side of the cylinder head (marking on the convex surface of the internal combustion engine).
Note. Cylinder heads that have been ground to the maximum are marked with the letter R engraved on the side of the exhaust system (from the flywheel side of the crankshaft).
Cylinder head
Attention. In the case of grinding the cylinder head to the maximum (repair size 1) a gasket of the same size is required.
Cylinder head gasket
There are two types of gaskets: metal and fiberglass.
cylinder head (EP6 engine):
1 - cylinder head;
2 - self-tapping bolt;
3 - gasket MCC;
4 - washer;
5 - valve cover;
6 - oil filler cap;
7 - bolt with collar;
8 - valve cover gasket;
9 - bushing;
10 - hairpin
11 - valve cover bolt;
12 - ring seal;
13 - exhaust valve;
14 - ring seal;
15 - thermal screen;
16 - self-tapping bolt.
The metal gasket must be replaced with the same one. The fiberglass gasket can be replaced with any of them.
Note. After grinding the cylinder head or block, an oversize 1 gasket must be installed. After grinding the cylinder head and cylinder block, an oversize 2 gasket must be installed.
