Elements of the lubrication system
1 – oil pump cover with oil receiver, 2 – bypass valve, 3 – pump body, 4 – pump drive chain, 5 – pump sprocket, 6 – oil filter, 7 – oil pressure sensor, 8 – tube and oil level indicator
Verification of parts is based on checking the surfaces of gears and the pump body for signs of wear (abrasion), whether the valve piston moves smoothly and without clearance, and whether the spring has lost the required rigidity.
If signs of wear are found on the gear surface or housing, the pump should be replaced.
1. Remove the sprocket.
2. Remove the pump shaft key.
3. Remove the oil pump oil receiver.
4. Remove the bypass valve spring and piston.
5. When assembling the pump, perform the steps in the reverse order of disassembly.
6. Tighten the three bolts securing the pump to the cylinder block to a torque of 8 Nm.
