Examination
1. Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands.
2. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.
3. Examine the disk as described in subsection 10.7.
Removing
1. Remove the brake hose from the bracket located on the front of the hub.
2. Unscrew the caliper mounting bolt.
3. Remove the protective head from the guide bush.
4. Unscrew the bolt securing the guide pin.
5. Remove the caliper from the brake disc and, using soft wire, tie it to the suspension spring. At the same time, do not bend or stretch the brake hose.
6. Using chalk or paint, mark the location of the disc relative to the hub. Remove the screws holding the disc to the hub (indicated by arrows).
7. Check that the handbrake is fully released and remove the brake disc from the vehicle. If the disc is still blocked by the brake pads even though the handbrake is released, unscrew the handbrake adjuster.
Installation
Before installing the wheel, adjust the handbrake pads.
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
2. Check that the working surfaces of the brake disc and hub are clean and not deformed.
3. Align the previously made marks.
4. Use a solvent to remove the protective film from the disc.
5. Clean the threads for the caliper and guide pin mounting bolts and coat them with an anti-threading agent.
6. Install the wheel and lower the car. Depress the brake pedal several times to bring the brake pads into position.
