Removing
Remove the rear brake pads (see above).
Turn away bolts (2) and remove the brake caliper (1).
Remove:
- cork (3);
- nut (4) rear hub - brake disc (5);
- rear hub - rear brake disc (5).
Cleaning
Attention. Do not use compressed air to clean brakes.
Note. Clean the components as described in chapter «Replacing the front brake pads».
Installation
Attention. A wheel speed sensor target is mounted on the rear brake disc hub. Do not place the rear brake disc hub near sources of magnetic fields. Disc contamination with metal particles is not allowed.
Parts must be clean and free of any abnormal wear or impact.
Visually check:
- tightness around the perimeter of the brake caliper piston;
- normal condition and position of protective covers;
- ABS wheel speed sensor target «A».
Replace defective parts.
Attention. There must be no traces of oil or grease on the brake pads.
Turn and slide the rear brake caliper pistons clockwise using tools 1, 2, 3 (see previous chapter).
Check the brake fluid level.
Install rear hub - rear brake disc (5).
Attention. Replace the nut each time you remove it.
Lubricate the surface and threads of the nut (4) rear hub - brake disc before installing it (lubricant «Total №3373» or «Esso EU 4746»). Install Nut (4) and lock it with a pin remover. Install plug (3).
Attention. Replace bolts every time you remove (2), and be sure to clean the threads of the bolt holes (2).
Install the brake caliper (1) and bolts (6).
Install brake pads and brake pads.
Install the rear wheels. Put the car on wheels.
Check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary.
