Special fixture:
1 - piston and compression nut 0805-J2;
2 - thrust plate 0805-J6;
3 - adapter 0805-J3.
Removing
When filling the brake fluid reservoir to the maximum level, remove its filter and partially drain the fluid using a clean syringe to avoid overfilling the reservoir.
Loosen the rear wheel bolts.
Raise and secure the vehicle with the rear wheels off. Remove rear wheels.
Disconnect the parking brake cable (2) from the brake caliper.
Remove the parking brake cable spacer in the area «A».
Remove the parking brake cable from the mount.
Turn away bolts (1).
Attention. Be careful not to kink the brake hose.
Move back the brake caliper.
Remove the brake pads (3) and brake pads (4).
Cleaning
Attention. Do not use compressed air to clean brakes.
Note. Clean the components as described in chapter «Replacing the front brake pads».
Installation
Visually check:
- tightness, around the perimeter of the brake caliper piston;
- normal condition and position of protective covers;
- brake disc wear (see below).
Replace defective parts.
Attention. There must be no traces of oil or grease on the brake pads.
Turn and move the rear brake caliper pistons clockwise using tools 1, 2, 3.
Check the brake fluid level.
Attention. Replace bolts every time you remove (1).
Install:
- brake pads (4);
- brake pads (3);
- stopping support;
- new bolts (1) (lubricated with thread locking compound).
Install the parking brake cable into the mount.
Install the parking brake cable spacer in the area «A».
Connect the parking brake cable (2) to the support.
Check that the parking brake is working properly.
Install the rear wheels.
Note. Slowly press the brake pedal several times with increasing force before moving the vehicle.
Check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary.
