Removal
1. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the anti-roll bar links.
3. Unscrew the nut and bolt securing the rear engine and gearbox mount. Unscrew the nut and bolt securing the suspension to the lower frame. Remove the suspension.
4. Unscrew the nut securing the left lower ball joint to the lower arm and remove the ball joint from the arm. Similarly, unscrew the ball joint from the right arm.
5. Remove the steering gear mounting bolts. Release the power steering pipes and hoses from their mountings on the lower frame.
6. Check that all wires and hoses that were attached to the lower frame have been removed from it.
7. Place a jack with a block under the lower frame to hold it in place while removing it.
8. Unscrew the 4 bolts securing the lower frame, lower it down and remove it from under the car.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Please consider the following points:
- use new nuts for the linkage and ball joints;
- tighten the bolts and nuts to the required torque;
- if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment angles.
