Removal

2. To prevent the engine crankshaft from turning, an assistant should engage fourth gear and press the foot brake all the way or remove the starter and secure the flywheel ring gear (the flywheel locking tool is indicated by the arrow). At this time, loosen the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt. Always use a new pulley mounting bolt.

3. Remove the bolt and pull the pulley off the crankshaft. If the pulley is a sliding fit on the crankshaft using a key or pin, remove it. If the pulley is pressed onto the crankshaft, remove it using a puller.

Installation



1. Install the Woodruff key into the crankshaft groove and install the pulley onto the crankshaft, aligning the groove on the pulley with the Woodruff key.

2. Clean the threads of the pulley mounting bolt and lubricate them with an anti-loosening agent (Peugeot recommends the use of Loctite Frenetanche).

3. Tighten the bolt with the washer securing the pulley.

4. Install and adjust the tension of the auxiliary drive belt.
