Attention! When replacing the camshaft O-ring, the toothed belt must be protected from oil.
1. Remove pulley (s) camshaft. On 1.8 and 2.0 liter engine models, remove the pulleys and pulley hubs.
2. Drill two holes in the O-ring on both sides. Insert self-tapping screws into the hole and use pliers to pull the ring out by the screw heads.
3. Clean the o-ring seat.
4. Lubricate the sealing lips of the new O-ring with clean engine oil and install the O-ring in place using an appropriate arbor. When installing the ring, pay attention to the correct location of the working edges, which should be directed inward.
5. Install the camshaft pulley.
