Removal



1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Models with 1.6 liter engine capacity



2. Loosen the clamps and remove the air supply hoses from the front right end of the head cover.

3. Remove the tube connecting the air filter and the cylinder head. Also remove the intake manifold on the left side of the cylinder head cover.

4. Disconnect the two brackets and unscrew the two screws located at the front and remove the filter cover. Remove the filter element.

7. Remove the fuel line and fuel injectors.

8. Remove the electrical connector on the left side of the ignition coil, located in the center of the cylinder head cover. Unscrew the six mounting bolts and remove the ignition coil upward.

9. Loosen the clamps and remove the air supply hoses from the front left side of the front cover.

10. Working in a spiral from outside to inside, gradually loosen and then unscrew and remove the bolts securing each head cover.

11. Remove the head covers together with the gaskets.

Installation



1.6 liter models



1. Place the rubber gasket into the groove of the head cover, ensuring it is properly positioned.

2. Lubricate the outer surface of the gasket with sealant.

3. Install the head cover carefully so as not to dislodge the head cover gasket.

4. Check that the gasket is installed correctly. Tighten the cylinder head cover nuts evenly and…

5. Install the air cleaner element and cover. Reconnect the air supply hoses and the intake duct. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
