Vacuum pump (Peugeot Eurovans 806)

The vacuum pump is installed on vehicles with a diesel engine and is designed to provide low pressure to the brake booster, as well as other components operating at low pressure. The vacuum pump is attached to the cylinder head. To remove the vacuum pump, disconnect the low pressure hose 1, unscrew the bolts 2 and unscrew the nut 3 (see illustration 10.0).



The vacuum pump is installed in the reverse order of removal.

1. Clean the surface of the pump and the place where it is mounted on the engine. The pump mount to the engine is sealed with two rings (see illustration). The sealing rings must be replaced with new ones. The bolts and nuts securing the vacuum pump are tightened to a torque of 25 Nm.
