When purchasing a used car, you should check the functioning of the indicators and warning lights on the instrument panel. The speedometer needle deflects immediately after the start of movement. The speedometer has two counters, one of which records the total mileage of the vehicle, and the other the daily mileage. The daily mileage can be reset by pressing the reset button.
The tachometer displays the engine speed.
The watch has high accuracy. The power comes from the battery and if it is disconnected, the clock will need to be adjusted.
Warning light for inflatable airbags. Lights up when the ignition is turned on for approximately 10 seconds. From the moment the indicator light goes out, the airbags are fully operational.
Preheating indicator light for diesel vehicles. This light should come on when the ignition is turned on when the engine is cold. If this does not happen, you need to contact the workshop. After warming up is complete, the light goes out and the engine can be started. If the engine is warmed up, the preheating lamp does not light.
Rear window defroster indicator light. Should light when the heater is turned on.
Fuel filter condensate warning light. Available in vehicles with diesel engines of earlier years of production. Newer models are not equipped with such a bulb. This light comes on when there is a significant amount of condensation in the filter.
