At the factory, the system is filled with coolant, which is not recommended to be drained for a year, because it contains additives that protect the cooling system from corrosion and identical damage. When changing the coolant, we recommend using the coolant offered by the vehicle manufacturer. This fluid is specially selected for the engine. If you use other brands of coolant, make sure that this fluid is suitable for your car engine. The coolant, consisting of 50% antifreeze and 50% water, will provide freeze protection in all sub-zero temperatures down to -30°C.
If during the movement it was necessary to add water to the system, then it should be remembered that this leads to a change in the concentration of the coolant. By the time the cold weather comes, they usually forget that water was poured into the system in summer. Therefore, it is recommended to use a hydrometer at the gas station and check the concentration of the coolant, and if necessary, add antifreeze.
