1. Place the front of the vehicle on jack stands.

2. Inspect the CV joint boots and steering rack seals and ensure there are no cracks, worn areas, or signs of material aging. Any damage to the boots or seals will lead to loss of lubrication and the ingress of water and dirt into the CV joint, which will lead to rapid wear of the joints or steering mechanism.

3. Check the integrity of the power steering hoses and lines and their tightness.

4. Use a portable lamp to shine a light on the dust caps of the ball joints of the lower control arms of the front suspension and the ends of the tie rods and check their condition.

5. Replace the corresponding ball joint and its cap by contacting a workshop.

6. Inspect the shock absorbers and make sure they are not leaking. If there is a fluid leak, the shock absorber is damaged and should be replaced. Shock absorbers are replaced in pairs on one axle.

The serviceability of the shock absorber is also checked by pressing on the corner of the body and releasing it sharply. The body should return to its original position. If the body rises above its original position and continues to swing, most likely the shock absorber located on that side is faulty and needs to be replaced. It is also necessary to check the shock absorber mount.
