Attention! To install the lower ball joint of the front suspension, you need a special tool Peugeot 0615J. If you do not have this tool, replace the lower ball joint at a service station.
Peugeot 0615J special tool for unscrewing the ball joint from the steering knuckle
Removal
1. Remove the steering knuckle.
2. Remove the lower ball joint cover plate (indicated by the arrow).
3. Install the special tool Peugeot 0615J on the ball joint, aligning the tool with the grooves in the ball joint and fix the tool by screwing the old nut onto the ball joint. Unscrew the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
Installation
1. Screw the ball joint into the steering knuckle by hand. Install the special tool, being careful not to damage the protective boot of the ball joint and tighten the joint to the required torque. Using a hammer and punch, hammer the ball joint into one of the grooves of the steering knuckle.
2. Install a new ball joint protective plate.
3. Install the steering knuckle together with the hub on the vehicle.
