Attention! The double row roller bearing requires no adjustments and is lubricated to provide bearing performance for the life of the vehicle. When installing the bearing, a new circlip must be used.
1. Remove the steering knuckle together with the hub from the car.
2. Install the steering knuckle on stands and using a tubular mandrel installed on the inner end of the flange, squeeze the flange out of the bearing. If the bearing inner race remains on the hub, remove it using a bearing puller.
3. Remove retaining ring (indicated by arrows) bearing mountings on the inside of the steering knuckle.
4. If necessary, install the inner race of the bearing back, and by supporting the inner part of the steering knuckle on stands and using a tubular mandrel, squeeze the bearing out of the steering knuckle.
5. Clean the hub and steering knuckle of dirt and grease.
6. Lightly lubricate the bearing outer race and bushing flange with Molykote 321 R grease.
7. Securely fix the steering knuckle on the stands and install the bearing in it. Install the bearing using a tubular mandrel, which should press on the outer ring of the bearing.
8. Secure the bearing with a new retaining ring, which must fit into the grooves in the steering knuckle.
9. Place the outer side of the bushing on a pedestal and place the bearing inner race on the end of the bushing flange. Install the bearing using a tubular mandrel that presses on the inner ring of the bearing.
10. Install the steering knuckle together with the hub on the car.
