Removing
1. Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.
2. Place a jack under the outer end of the lower arm and raise it just enough to compress the spring slightly.
3. Apply alignment marks between the special washer of the inner pivot bolt and the lower frame. When installing traction, these marks will allow you to maintain the angles of the rear wheel.
4. Unscrew the nut securing the rear link ball joint to the trunnion and remove the ball joint from the trunnion.
5. Unscrew the nut securing the inner hinge bolt and remove the special washer. Remove the pivot bolt and remove the rear link from the vehicle.
6. Completely clean the rod from dirt and anti-corrosion coating. Check her condition.
Installation
1. Clean the pivot bolt and ball joint threads and lubricate the contact surface of the new nuts with Molykote G Rapide Plus.
2. Reinstall the rear link and insert the pivot bolt. Install the special washer on the bolt so that it fits correctly on the bolt and is located against the ledge on the lower frame. Fasten it with a new nut, do not completely tighten it. Align the marks made before removal and tighten the mounting bolt to the required torque.
3. Install the ball joint in the trunnion and secure with a new nut, tightening it to the required torque.
4. Adjust rear wheel alignment if necessary.
