Removal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.
2. Place a jack under the outer end of the lower arm and lift it up just enough to compress the spring slightly.
3. Make alignment marks between the special washer of the inner pivot bolt and the lower frame. When installing the tie rod, these marks will help maintain the rear wheel alignment angles.
4. Unscrew the nut securing the rear tie rod ball joint to the journal and remove the ball joint from the journal.
5. Unscrew the inner pivot bolt mounting nut and remove the special washer. Remove the pivot bolt and remove the rear tie rod from the vehicle.
6. Clean the rod completely from dirt and anti-corrosion coating. Check its condition.
Installation
1. Clean the threads of the pivot bolt and ball joint and lubricate the contact surface of the new nuts with Molykote G Rapide Plus grease.
2. Install the rear tie rod in place and insert the pivot bolt. Install the special washer on the bolt so that it is correctly positioned on the bolt and located against the protrusion on the lower frame. Secure it with a new nut, without tightening it completely. Align the marks made before removal and tighten the mounting bolt to the required torque.

3. Install the ball joint into the journal and secure with a new nut, tightening it to the required torque.
4. If necessary, adjust the rear wheel alignment angles.
