Right crankshaft seal ring (Peugeot 406)

1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

2. Measure the installation depth of the sealing ring.

3. Remove the sealing ring using a special tool. Alternatively, drill two small holes in the end of the sealing ring, screw in two self-tapping screws and use pliers to pull the sealing ring out of its seat by the screw heads.

4. Clean the O-ring seat and the sealing surface of the crankshaft.

5. Dip the new O-ring in clean engine oil and install it into the seat to the pre-measured depth using a suitable drift.

6. Install the crankshaft pulley.
