Checking the cylinder head bolts (Peugeot 406)

1. It is recommended to replace the cylinder head mounting bolts each time the head is removed.

2. Measure the length of the bolt from the base of the bolt head to the end of the bolt and compare it with the required value. If the bolt length is 145.0–146.5 mm, the bolts with washers can be reused, but if the length is longer, the bolts and washers must be replaced with new ones.
