The transmission oil level must be checked every 60,000 km. Automatic transmission with dipstick.
Attention! The transmission oil level should be checked. heating transmission oil to a temperature of 80°C. To do this, drive along the highway for about 30 km.
If before the test the car was moving at high speed or the movement was carried out in the conditions of the city, then it is necessary to turn off the engine and let it cool down for about 30 minutes and only then proceed with the test.
1. Depress the brake pedal and alternately set the transmission control lever to each of the seven positions.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
3. Set the gear lever to the position «R» or «N».
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Remove the dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and reinstall it.
6. Remove the dipstick again and determine the gear oil level in the gearbox: at the gearbox operating temperature, the oil level should be between the minimum A and maximum B marks on the dipstick (see illustration). The volume of oil between the marks is 0.5 liters.
2.6 The oil level must be between the minimum A and maximum B marks on the dipstick
Attention! The gear oil level must not exceed the maximum mark. Excess oil must be removed.
Attention! Too high transmission oil can cause it to overheat and leak, and low oil levels can be detrimental to the transmission.
7. Replace the two O-rings 1 if oil leaks are found on the dipstick (see illustration).
2.7 Replace the two O-rings 1
Automatic transmission without dipstick
8. Place the vehicle on a level surface, jack it up, and place it on jack stands.
9. Set the gear lever to the position «R».
10. Depress the brake pedal. Shift the shift lever to each of the seven positions in turn, and then set the lever back to «R».
11. Start the engine and leave it to idle. When the transmission oil temperature reaches 55°C, unscrew plug 3 of the inspection hole (see illustration). Wait until the oil temperature reaches 60°C.
2.11 When the gear oil temperature reaches 55°C, unscrew plug 3 of the inspection hole
12. The transmission oil level is sufficient if it flows out of the control hole. In this case, screw in the control hole plug and tighten it with a force of 25 Nm.
13. If transmission oil does not flow out of the control hole, screw in the control hole plug. Stop the engine.
14. Remove the filler plug 3 (see illustration 2.25) suitable pliers and add 0.5 liters of gear oil and repeat the procedure for checking the oil level.
15. Stuff the metal part of the filler plug with a hammer and an 18 mm punch, secure the plastic part of the plug with a clip.
