Modulator — removal (Peugeot 605)

1. Remove the air filter.

2. Remove the battery and its tray, as well as the bracket that holds it.

3. Disconnect plug 1 (see illustration).



4. Drain the transmission oil.

5. Release hose 2 from fastening 3 (see illustration).



6. Remove the protective cover 4 to gain access to the modulator (see illustration 4.5).

7. Remove the retaining ring 5 (see illustration)



8. First loosen the tightening and then unscrew the bolts 6 of the modulator mount (see illustration).





9. Remove the speedometer sensor 7 (see illustration 4.8).

10. Disconnect the input speed sensor plug8 (primary) shaft (see illustration).



11. Remove modulator 9 (see illustrations 4.10 and 4.0).

Please note: All regulators are identical and interchangeable, as are both solenoid valves. Regulators are marked with black ring marks. Solenoid valves are marked with yellow marks.

12. Disconnect the output shaft speed sensor plug (see illustration).
