Note. The following procedure applies to Peugeot/Citroen original equipment.
Removing
1. Turn off the audio unit and ignition.
2. Genuine Peugeot/Citroen audio units have DIN standard mounting hardware. Removal requires two special tools, available from most auto parts stores. As an alternative, suitable tools can be made from a wire with a diameter of 3 mm, for example from a welding electrode.
3. Insert the tools into the holes on each side of the audio unit and push them down until they lock into place. The audio block can be removed from the front panel (pic. 17.3).

4. After removing the audio unit from the front panel, disconnect the electrical connectors and disconnect the antenna wire from the rear side. Remove the audio unit from the vehicle.
5. To remove the base frame on pre-September 2002 models, use a small screwdriver to loosen the mounting tabs on each side of the unit (pic. 17.5). Be aware that the frame will be slightly deformed during this procedure, but can be straightened out after removal.

Installation
7. If applicable, lock the base frame into place.
8. Securely connect the antenna wire and connect the electrical connectors, and then slide the unit into place, being careful not to pinch the electrical wiring.
