Removal



1. Remove the hood grille panel as described in chapter 11.

2. Using a suitable screwdriver, remove the lever drive from the ball head on the electric motor crank (figure 14.2).

3. Unscrew the three nuts and remove the electric motor support plate (figure 14.3). Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the electric motor and support plate.

4. To remove the motor from the base plate, mark the position of the crank when the motor is in the home position.

5. Unscrew the nut and remove the crank from the electric motor shaft. Remove the three bolts and separate the motor from the support plate.

6. Remove the wiper motor as described above.

7. Remove the bolts/nuts securing the outer axle assembly and the middle axle assembly to the hood panel (figure 14.7, a.b). Move the lever drive out of its standard position.

Installation



8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the crank in the position marked during removal, make sure that the electric motor is in the home position.
