Instruments and electrical equipment
1. Check the operation of all devices and electrical equipment.
2. Make sure that all instruments are reading correctly. Turn on all electrical equipment elements one by one and check their operation.
Steering and suspension
3. While driving the vehicle, check for any unusual vibrations or noises.
4. Check for any "anomalies" in the steering, suspension, vehicle handling or "road holding".
5. Check the steering for clarity and whether there is anything unusual or unstable in its operation. Check the suspension for noise when cornering and on uneven road surfaces.
Engine and transmission
6. Check the operation of the engine, clutch, gearbox and axle shafts.

7. Listen for any unusual noises coming from the engine, clutch and gearbox.
8. Make sure the engine runs smoothly at idle and there is no lag during acceleration.
9. Check the smoothness and stability of the clutch operation, make sure that the clutch engages smoothly and that the clutch pedal travel is not exceeded. Also listen for any noise when you press the clutch pedal.
10. Check the smoothness and quietness of all gear engagement, the clarity and appropriate ease of operation of the gear shift lever.
11. Listen for metallic sounds ("clicking") from the front of the car when the car is slowly turned with the steering wheel turned all the way. Turn around like this in both directions. If you hear a "clicking" sound, this indicates wear of the axle joint (see chapter 8).
Brake system
12. Make sure that the vehicle does not pull to the side when braking and that the wheels do not lock during emergency braking. On all models equipped with ABS, the wheels should not lock.
13. Check if there is any vibration transmitted by the steering when braking.
14. Check that the parking brake is working properly and that the lever travel is not excessive. Make sure the parking brake holds the vehicle on a slope in both directions (front down and up the slope).
15. Check the operation of the brake booster with the engine off, as described below. Depress the brake pedal four or five times to relieve the vacuum and start the engine. When starting the engine, you should feel a noticeable "giveness" in the brake pedal as the vacuum increases. Let the engine run for at least two minutes, then turn it off. If you now press the brake pedal again, you should hear a hissing sound coming from the booster. After about four or five presses, there should be no hissing sound and the pedal should feel significantly "harder.".
