Removal
1. On the 1.9L (D9B) engine, remove the air distribution housing as described in chapter 4B.
2. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the front of the cylinder head cover and, if necessary, remove the air intake duct from the intake manifold.
3. Loosen the bolt and remove the fuel hose bracket from the right end of the cylinder head cover (figure 4.3).

4. Mark the location of all brackets secured with the three cylinder head cover mounting bolts, and then unscrew them. Remove the metal and felt washers located under each bolt (figure 4.4).

5. Carefully move all hoses away from the cylinder head cover.
6. Remove the cover and rubber seal (figure 4.6). Inspect the seal for signs of damage or deterioration and replace if necessary.

Installation
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:

- a) Install all brackets according to the original position marked before removal.
- b) If applicable, install the air distribution housing as described in chapter 4B.
