Washer fluid reservoir
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal (refer to "Disconnecting the battery").
2. Working in the engine compartment, unscrew the filler neck from the top of the reservoir (see illustration).

3. Chock the rear wheels then jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on axle stands (see "Jacking and vehicle support"). Remove the right-hand front road wheel.
4. Remove the screw securing the front of the wheei arch liner to the bumper, then release the securing clips (which are a push fit) and withdraw the liner from under the wheel arch (see illustrations).

5. Release the securing strap from the reservoir, then lower the reservoir from the wheel arch (see illustration).

6. Disconnect the washer pump wiring plug (see illustration). Disconnect the fluid hose from the pump - be prepared for fluid spillage - then withdraw the reservoir.

Refitting
7. Refitting is a reversal of removal.

8. Remove the fluid reservoir as described previously in this Section.
9.The washer pump is/are a push fit in the reservoir (see illustration).

10. Refitting is a reversal of removal, but check the condition of the mounting grommet in the reservoir and renew if necessary.
Windscreen washer jet
11. Carefully prise the washer nozzle from the bonnet (take care not to damage the paintwork) and disconnect the fluid hose.
12. Refitting is a reversal of removal.
Tailgate washer jet
13. Carefully prise the washer jet from the tailgate (take care not to damage the paintwork) and disconnect the fluid hose (see illustration).

14. Take care not to allow the hose to drop back into the tailgate - tape it to the tailgate if necessary.
15. Refitting is a reversal of removal.
