Fast idle thermostatic valve — renewal, testing and adjustment (Peugeot 106)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal (refer to "Disconnecting the battery").

2. Partially drain the cooling system as described in Chapter 1B.

3. Loosen the clamp nut and slide the fast idle.

Fuel tank - removal and refitting

Refer to Chapter 4A, Section 6, noting that it will be necessary to depressurise the fuel system as the feed and return hoses are disconnected (see Section 6). It will also be necessary to disconnect the wiring connector from the fuel pump, prior to lowering the tank out of position.
