Removal and installation the control panel (Peugeot 207)

Removal



Disconnect the battery.

Remove the following items:
  • center console;
  • steering column;
  • driver's knee airbag (if installed);
  • glove box;
  • ventilation grilles;
  • instrument cluster;
  • central part of the control panel;
  • the top of the control panel.

Remove:
  • clamps (1);
  • noise-absorbing coating under the dashboard (2);
  • clamps (3) (on each side);
  • facing casings (4).

Remove the front speaker grille (5).

Loosen the bolts (6).

On each side, disconnect the connector from the speaker and remove the front speaker (7).

Remove the fairing (8)*.

Remove the fairing (8)*.
Remove the fairing (8)*.


Disconnect the connector from the outside light sensor (9)*.

Remove the plug and ambient light sensor assembly*.

Note: *Depending on the configuration option.

Disconnect the headlight range adjuster (10).

Disconnect the connector from the regulator.

Remove the headlight range control adjuster (10).

Loosen bolts (11) and (12) (on each side).

Loosen bolts (11) and (12) (on each side).


Unscrew the bolt (13).

Unscrew the bolt (13).


Unscrew bolts (14) and (15).

Unscrew bolts (14) and (15).


Loosen the bolts (16) (on each side).



Loosen the bolts (16) (on each side).


Loosen the bolts (17).

Remove the gear shift drive assembly (18).

Remove the gear shift drive assembly (18).


Remove the gear shift drive assembly (18).


Move aside the electrical wire harnesses.

Remove the control panel assembly (19) and crossmember (20).

Loosen the bolt (21) and remove the passenger airbag.

Loosen the bolt (21) and remove the passenger airbag.


Pull out and remove the control panel (19).



Installation



Install the parts in reverse order.

Tighten:
  • bolts (6 - 11 - 12 - 14 - 21) with a torque of 3 Nm;
  • bolts (17) with a torque of 8 Nm;
  • bolts (13-15-16) with a torque of 10 Nm.
