Front seat belts
The front seat belts are equipped with pyrotechnic pretensioners and force limiters.
This system protects the driver and front passenger during a frontal collision in an accident. With a strong enough impact, the tensioners instantly tighten the seat belts and firmly press the bodies of the driver and passenger to the seat backs. The pyrotechnic seat belt pretensioner system only works when the ignition is on.
To release the belt, on a three-door vehicle, lower the holder to allow the belt to be gently stowed away. This clip makes it easier to use the belt when you need to buckle up.
Fastening the seat belt
Pull the strap and insert the clip into the slot of the lock.
Check that the strap is secure in the buckle by pulling on the strap.
Belt release
Press the red button on the lock.
Height adjustment
To lower the belt, press the adjuster button A on both sides and move it down.
To raise the belt, move adjuster A up.
Seat belt indicator
When the ignition is switched on, the warning lamp comes on if the driver and/or front passenger have not buckled up.
From a speed of 20 km/h, the indicator flashes for two minutes, accompanied by an increasing buzzer. It will then remain lit without flashing until the driver and/or front passenger buckle up.
