1. Check the condition of the air hose between the supercharger and the intake manifold, as well as the hose from the intake manifold to the fuel pump and make sure that they are not torn or cracked. It is possible that the hoses may have become loose and are sucking in air.
2. Check the intake manifold gasket on the cylinder head. Air can also be sucked in here. The intake manifold mounting flanges may also not be sealed.
3. Check the exhaust manifold gasket on the cylinder head and between the exhaust manifold and the supercharger.
To check the boost pressure, you need a special pressure gauge, and the test itself should be entrusted to a workshop. If the boost pressure is too high and the hose that the wastegate is located on is not clogged, then the turbocharger will most likely need to be replaced.
If the boost pressure is low, the reason may be a faulty boost pressure valve.
If the exhaust gases have a different color than usual, this is the result of a malfunction in the fuel injection system. It is recommended to contact the workshop immediately.
After a long trip, it is recommended not to turn off the engine immediately, but to let it idle for a while. This is necessary for the following reason. If a very hot engine is shut off immediately, the turbocharger shaft bearing may become so hot that the bearing grease burns off. And if something like this happens again, the turbocharger shaft will jam.
The turbocharger is very sensitive to contamination and foreign particles. Therefore, it is recommended to monitor the condition of the supercharger and keep it clean.
