When pressed, the pedal drops to the floor - there is no or very little resistance to pressing
- Clutch release cable failure (chapter 6).

Can't disengage clutch (unable to change gear)
- Jamming of the driven clutch disc on the splines of the input shaft of the gearbox (chapter 6).
- Sticking clutch disc to flywheel or pressure plate (chapter 6).
- Faulty pressure plate assembly (chapter 6).
- Worn or incorrectly assembled clutch release mechanism (chapter 6).
Clutch slips (when the engine speed increases, the vehicle speed does not increase)
- Drive plate linings are excessively worn (chapter 6).
- Drive plate linings contaminated with oil or grease (chapter 6).
- Pressure plate defective or diaphragm spring weak (chapter 6).
Twitching (vibration) when engaging the clutch
- Drive plate linings contaminated with oil or grease (chapter 6).
- Drive plate linings are excessively worn (chapter 6).
- Malfunction or deformation of the pressure plate or diaphragm spring (chapter 6).
- Worn or loose engine or transmission mounts (chapter 2).
- Wear of the splines of the hub of the driven disk or the input shaft of the gearbox (chapter 6).
