Removing
1. Remove the accessory drive belt as described in chapter 1B.
2. Align the engine/camshaft assembly mounting holes as described in paragraph 3, and lock the camshaft sprocket, injection pump sprocket and flywheel. Do not crank the engine with the locking rods installed.
3. Loosen the timing belt tensioner axle nut and adjusting bolt, and then turn the tensioner bracket counterclockwise to release the tension and tighten the adjusting bolt again to hold the tensioner in the released position. To rotate the tensioner bracket against the force of the spring, use a 10mm square head wrench to be inserted into the hole provided.
4. Turn out two bolts and a hairpin of fastening of an intermediate roller in gathering to the block of cylinders. Note that the top bolt also holds the motor support bracket.
5. Slightly loosen the four engine mount bolts, noting that the topmost bolt is on the inside of the engine front plate and also holds the engine rigging bracket. Remove the intermediate roller assembly.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:
- A) Tighten all bolts/nuts to the specified torque.
- b) Tension the timing belt as described in paragraph 7.
- V) Install and tension the accessory drive belt as described in chapter 1B.
