Removing
1. Remove the oil pan as described in paragraph 14.
2. If necessary, remove the two screws and remove the sprocket cover from the front of the oil pump.
3. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the oil pump to the basis of the block of cylinders/crankcase. Disengage the pump sprocket from the chain and remove the oil pump (pic. 15.3). If necessary, also remove the spacer plate that is installed behind the oil pump.

Inspection
4. Inspect the oil pump sprocket for signs of damage and wear, such as chipped or missing teeth. If the sprocket is worn, the pump assembly must be replaced as the sprocket is not supplied separately. In addition, it is recommended to simultaneously replace the chain and the drive sprocket located on the crankshaft. To replace the chain and sprocket, first remove the timing belt sprocket from the crankshaft as described in paragraph 9. Turn out bolts and remove the case of a cuff from the block of cylinders. Then an asterisk, a spacer (in the presence of) and the chain can be removed from the end of the crankshaft. For more information, please refer to chapter 2D.
5. Loosen and remove the bolts securing the strainer cover to the pump housing (also remove the oil slinger plate, if equipped). Remove the strainer cover and remove the safety valve piston and spring, noting how they are installed (pic. 15.5, a-c).

6. Inspect impellers and pump housing for signs of wear and tear. If there is wear, replace the pump assembly.
7. Inspect the relief valve piston for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary. The condition of the safety valve spring can only be assessed by comparing it with a new one. If there is any doubt about the condition, it should also be replaced. The piston and spring are supplied separately.
8. Thoroughly clean the oil pump strainer with a suitable solvent and check for signs of blockage or damage. If the filter is damaged, the mesh filter assembly with cover must be replaced.
9. Install the relief valve spring and piston into the strainer cover. Install the cover on the pump housing. Align the relief valve plunger with the corresponding mounting hole in the pump. Install oil deflector plate (in the presence of), screw in the cover fixing bolts and tighten them securely.
10. Prime the pump prior to installation with clean engine oil.
Installation
11. Install the separation plate (in the presence of), and then install the pump sprocket along with its drive chain. Install the pump on the base of the cylinder block/crankcase. Screw in the pump mounting bolts and tighten them to the prescribed torque.
12. If necessary, install the sprocket cover on the pump. Install the appropriate bolts and tighten them securely.
13. Install the oil pan as described in paragraph 14.
