Inspection
1. For easier access, fully apply the parking brake, raise the front of the vehicle and securely jack it up (see «Lifting and placing the car on supports»).
2. Check the rubber of the supports for cracks, hardening, or separating from the metal. If there are obvious defects, replace the support.
3. Check up reliability of an inhaling of nuts/bolts of fastening of support. If possible, use a torque wrench to check.
4. Check for wear on the bearings. To do this, carefully pry the support with a large screwdriver or other lever and check for play. When this check is not possible, have an assistant move the engine/gearbox «back forward» or «left - right», and at this time, watch the supports. Although some play is inherent even with new elements, you will clearly see increased wear. If excessive play is found, first check that the bolts/nuts are properly tightened and then replace the worn parts as described below.
Replacement
Right support
5. Place a jack under the engine by placing a piece of wood on top of the jack head. Raise the jack just enough to relieve the engine mounts.
6. Release clamps and brackets and position booster pump and all related hoses, wires and cables clear of engine mount and upper suspension mount.
7. Turn away three nuts of fastening of the top arm to an arm on the engine.
8. Turn away a single nut of fastening of a basic arm to a rubber support and remove an arm.
9. Using a strap wrench or similar tool, unscrew the rubber mount from the body. Alternatively, make a tool out of a suitable metal tube, on which the projections should be provided that fit into the cutouts in the support.
10. Check all elements for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary.
11. When assembling, screw the rubber support into the body and tighten it securely.
12. Install the support bracket on the rubber support and bracket on the motor and tighten the appropriate nuts to the specified torque.
13. Replace the booster pump and hoses, wires and cables shifted for easier access.
14. Remove the jack from under the engine.
Left support
15. Remove the battery, battery tray, and base plate as described in chapter 5A.
16. Place a jack under the gearbox by placing a piece of wood on top of the jack head. Raise the jack just enough to relieve the transmission mounts.
17. Unscrew the central nut of the rubber support on the left support and remove it together with the washer. Then turn away nuts of fastening of a support and take a support from engine compartment.
18. If necessary, remove the spacer (in the presence of) from the support stud, and then unscrew the stud from the top of the gearbox housing and remove it along with the washer. If the stud is tight, a universal stud puller can be used to unscrew it.
19. Carefully check all elements for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary.
20. Clean the support stud threads and apply thread locking compound. Screw in the hairpin (do not forget to put the puck) into the top of the gearbox and tighten securely.
21. Put on the spacer (in the presence of) on the support pin, and then install the rubber support. Tighten the mount-to-body bolts and strut center nut to the specified torque and remove the jack from under the gearbox.
22. Install the battery base plate, battery tray, and battery as described in chapter 5A.
Rear support
23. Refer to paragraph 16 of chapter 2A.
