Removing
1. The switch is located on the front side of the cylinder block, above the oil filter support or screwed into the oil filter housing. Be aware that on some models, access to the switch can be improved by jacking up the vehicle and placing secure supports underneath it (see «Lifting and placing the car on supports») and remove the engine cover (if applicable).
2. Disconnect the wire «masses» from battery (see «Disconnecting the battery»).
3. Remove the protective sleeve from the electrical connector (if applicable), and then disconnect the switch electrical connector (pic. 14.3).

4. Turn out the switch from the block of cylinders and remove a sealing washer. Be prepared for oil to leak. If the switch is to be left off the engine for some time, plug the hole in the cylinder block.
Installation
5. Inspect the sealing washer for signs of damage or deterioration and replace if necessary.
6. Install switch with washer and tighten securely. Connect the electrical connector and connect the battery.
7. Lower the vehicle, then check and, if necessary, top up the engine oil as described in «weekly checks».
