Remove the rear shock absorber in the following order:

- unscrew nut 2 (figure 7.26) lower shock absorber mount;
- unscrew nut 1 of the upper shock absorber mount;
- remove the shock absorber.
Install the rear shock absorber in the following order:
- install the shock absorber by "tacking on" new nuts at the top and bottom;
- using the rear suspension compression tool, compress the suspension to obtain dimension A of 317.5 mm between the shock absorber mounting axes;
- tighten nut 1 to 70 Nm;
- tighten nut 2 to a torque of 150 Nm.
