Remove the rear suspension beam in the following order:
  • place the car on a lift;
  • remove the parking brake console from underneath the vehicle;
  • disconnect the parking brake cables;
  • remove the spare tire;
  • remove the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter;

  • disconnect brake pipes 1 (figure 7.18);
  • after removal, close the tubes with plugs to prevent brake fluid from leaking out;
  • disconnect the ABS sensors;
  • place a hydraulic jack under the rear suspension beam and support the beam with it;
  • unscrew the four bolts securing the rear beam;
  • lower the hydraulic jack and remove the rear suspension beam from the rear of the vehicle.

Install the rear suspension beam in the following order:

Caution! Be careful not to pinch the brake pipes when they get caught between the beam and the body.

  • screw in the beam mounting bolts without tightening;

  • install two brackets 1 (figure 7.19), to center the rear suspension beam;
  • tighten the mounting bolts to 110 Nm;
  • remove two staples;
  • connect the brake pipes;
  • connect the parking brake cables to the equalizer;
  • reinstall the exhaust pipe with a new gasket;
  • connect ABS sensors;
  • bleed the brake hydraulic system;
  • put the spare tire back in place;
  • adjust the cables; install the parking brake console.
