The tread wear indicator is a narrow protrusion located across the tread track. The sidewall of the tire is labeled «TWI» («Tread Wear Indicator»). When the tire tread height drops to 1.6 mm, it is equal to the wear indicator. If this happens, replace the tires with new ones. It should be remembered that tires with a low tread depth have very poor grip on wet and snowy roads.
