
The tread wear indicator is a narrow projection located across the tread. There is a marking on the sidewall of the tire "TWI" ("Tread Wear Indicator"). When the tire tread depth drops to 1.6 mm, it is equal to the wear indicator. If this happens, replace the tires with new ones. It should be remembered that tires with a small tread depth have very poor grip on wet and snowy roads.
