The type of tire, size, tire pressure and speed rating affect the vehicle's performance on the road. When changing tires, make sure that all four wheels are fitted with tires of the same type, size and, preferably, from the same manufacturer. Follow the tire pressure recommendations on the appropriate sticker (see Chapter "Dimensions and identification data of the Peugeot 207").

All car tires have a designation of their size.

Example of designation 205/55R16 91 W:
  • 205 — profile width (mm);
  • 55 — ratio of profile height to tire width (%);
  • R — radial tires;
  • 16 — wheel rim diameter in inches;
  • 91 is the digital code for the maximum permitted load on the tire (in this case 615 kg);
  • W — digital code for maximum permitted speed (in this case 270 km/h).
