Withdrawal (clutch slave cylinder)
Secure and raise the vehicle on a two-post lifting platform.
Remove:
- protective shield under the engine;
- air cleaner assembly (depending on engine type).
Disengage the latch in the area «b».
Loosen and remove two screws (1)
Disconnect the connection in the zone «A».
Remove clutch slave cylinder (2).
Note. Place a container to collect the brake fluid from the clutch hydraulic pipe.
Attention. Disconnect the slave cylinder with care to prevent the rod from being thrown out quickly.
Do not press the clutch pedal with the slave cylinder removed.
Clutch Master Cylinder
Secure and raise the vehicle on a two-post lifting platform.
Remove:
- front left wheel;
- protective shield under the engine;
- front left mudguard;
- tie rod ball joint (left-hand side).
Disconnect the Clutch Master Cylinder Swivel (3) (in the zone «With»).
Unlock clutch master cylinder (3), by turning it (as shown by the arrow).
Note. Place a container to collect the brake fluid under the clutch master cylinder (3).
Disconnect the connection in the zone «d». Disconnect tubes (4) And (5).
close the hole of the tube (5).
Remove clutch master cylinder (3).
Installation (clutch slave cylinder)
Lightly grease the end of the clutch slave cylinder (lubricant «Molykote BR2 Plus»).
Install the clutch slave cylinder in sequence. Replace two bolts (1). Connect the hydraulic pipe.
Tighten the connection in the area «A».
Bleed the clutch hydraulic system (see corresponding operation).
Install:
- protective shield under the engine;
- air cleaner assembly (depending on engine type).
Clutch Master Cylinder
Install the clutch master cylinder (3), performing the operations in the reverse order compared to the removal.
Attach the clutch master cylinder (3) rotation.
Connect Clutch Pedal Swivel and Tube (4) And (5).
Tighten the connection in the area «d». Bleed the clutch hydraulic system (see corresponding operation).
Install:
- tie rod ball joint (left-hand side);
- front left mudguard;
- front left wheel;
- protective shield under the engine.
