The mechanism is distinguished by the use of an automatic gap compensation system using a force sensor. The graph of the force applied to the release bearing is a curve that practically does not change with time.
This system allows for a greater wear margin than in classical clutch mechanisms.
Attention. The SAC mechanism and the clutch friction disc are an inseparable unit (marking with the same number on component parts). In the repair version, only disk assemblies and mechanisms are supplied as a set. The clutch mechanism is in its initial position when the mark on the compensation crown is between the recesses of the mechanism.
Compensation mark:
A - mark of the compensation crown;
B - notches.
Features of the clutch hydromechanical gearbox
The clutch is controlled by the manual sequential transmission ECU. The hydraulic clutch release bearing is equipped with a position sensor. The ECU for the manual sequential transmission has a sensor that remembers the number of clutch cycles. After installing the clutch or hydraulic release bearing, perform the following operations using the diagnostic tool:
- pressurizing the system and removing air (see corresponding operation);
- resetting the clutch cycle counter (only if the clutch mechanism is replaced with a new one);
- initialization «slip points» clutch (using diagnostic equipment).
