Attention! To move the automatic transmission control lever, you need to press the unlock button (see illustration).
Automatic transmission control lever positions
P = parking
R = reverse gear
N= neutral gear
D = forward gears.
This position of the gear lever is intended for driving under normal conditions. The automatic selection of the desired gear in this position is determined by the stored data of the economical driving method.
- 3 - movement with automatic gear shifting to 3rd, 2nd and 1st gears.
- 2 - movement using 1st and 2nd gears. This position is recommended when driving in traffic jams or when going uphill.
- 1 - driving only in 1st gear at a speed of 50 km / h uphill or with a trailer.
The position of the automatic transmission control lever is displayed on the instrument panel.
Kick-down
Upshifting or downshifting is possible by depressing the accelerator pedal all the way. This is usually necessary when accelerating to overtake. This mode is called Kick-down and it is possible when the automatic transmission control lever is in positions D, 3 or 2. If you fully depress the accelerator pedal, the automatic transmission will switch to a gear corresponding to the engine speed and speed at the moment the fuel supply is increased. Switching to the next, higher gear will occur only when the engine reaches the rotational speed corresponding to this gear
To apply engine braking, the control lever must be moved to a lower gear, for example, from position D to position 3 or from position 3 to position 2. Shifting from position 2 to position 1 must be carried out as an exception and is not allowed on slippery roads.
Attention! It is not allowed to transfer the automatic transmission control lever to position N while driving, as well as switching 3-2-1 at a speed of more than 150 km / h.
It is not allowed to transfer the automatic transmission control lever to the position P or R until the car comes to a complete stop.
It is not allowed to simultaneously press the gas pedal and the brake pedal if the automatic transmission control lever is in position 1-2-3 or D.
