The Peugeot 207 can be equipped with the following functions (depending on the equipment level):
  • automatic activation of hazard warning lights;
  • controlled headlights;
  • pulse control of fog lights;
  • automatic switching on of low beam headlights based on a signal from a dual rain and light sensor.

Switching on and off of the lighting devices is carried out either manually by means of a switch connected to the switching unit under the steering wheel or to contactors, or automatically if the operating mode is selected in which the low beam headlights are switched on and off depending on the illumination. The switching on or off requests are received by the BSI 1 and BSM units, which control the external lighting devices. This is done by commands coming directly from the BSI 1 or BSM units via the CAN CAR network.

Note: The reversing lights and brake lights are switched on directly by the corresponding contactors. The status of the contactors is read by the BSI 1 unit.
