Removal and installation the starter (petrol engines) (Peugeot 207)

Disconnect the battery.

Release and move aside the high current fuse box (3).

Remove the following components:
  • air deflector;
  • air resonator;
  • air supply tube;
  • protective cover of the battery;
  • battery;
  • battery tray;
  • protective shield under the engine.

Disconnect the electrical power connector (in area "a").

Unscrew the nut (8) and bolts (7).

Remove the starter (9) (remove from above the gearbox).

Remove the starter (9) (remove from above the gearbox).


Caution: When installing, check the presence of the centering pin.


Install the starter (9).

Tighten the bolts (7) to a torque of 20 Nm.

Tighten the nut (8) to a torque of 16 Nm.

Install the parts in reverse order.
