Disconnect the generator electrical power connector (in area "a").
Remove the accessory drive belt (1) (see section "Engine and control systems"). Loosen the power supply wire nut (4).
Loosen the generator mounting bolts (3).
Move aside the tension roller (2) and the generator wiring harness.
Caution: Be careful when handling a locked tension roller to avoid it becoming unlocked (risk of injury).
Loosen the bolt (6) and remove the generator (5) (through the top).

Note: When installing the generator, check for the presence of centering bushings.
Caution: Replace the tensioner pulley electrical harness clamp if it has been cut (danger of short circuit).
Install the parts in reverse order.
