Checking the grounding serviceability
Turn on power consumers.
Measure the voltage between the generator case and the negative battery terminal.

If the voltage is less than 0.5V, check the battery cables
If the voltage is higher than 0.5 V, clean and tighten the generator support fastening, the engine ground to the body and the battery ground wire.
Check the system for proper operation. If the problem persists, install a new battery ground cable.

Turn on power consumers.
Measure the voltage between the "B+" terminal of the generator and the positive terminal of the battery.
If the voltage is less than 0.5V, check the battery power supplied to the generator.
If the voltage is higher than 0.5 V, clean and tighten the battery power cable electrical fittings.
Check the system for proper operation. If the problem persists, install a new battery power cable.
Checking the battery power supplied to the generator
Measure the voltage between the "B+" terminal of the generator and the "ground".

If the voltage is equal to the battery voltage, check the current supplied to the generator regulator.
If the voltage does not match the battery voltage, repair or replace the alternator electrical circuit. Check the system for proper operation.
Checking the current supplied to the generator regulator
Turn off the ignition.
Disconnect the generator.
Measure the voltage between the generator terminal on the wiring side and ground.

If the voltage is more than 10 V, check the engine control unit and the communication circuit with the generator.
If the voltage does not correspond to this value and the fuse F11 is OK, repair the electrical circuit between the generator and the regulator. Check the correct operation of the system.
