Removing
1. Remove ground wire from battery.
2. Remove the stopper from the master cylinder reservoir, filter and pump out the fluid from the reservoir.
3. Remove the windshield wiper arms.
4. Remove the partition grill under the windshield.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level sensor.
6. Unscrew the two nuts securing the brake master cylinder to the vacuum booster.
7. Clean the dirt from the junctions of the brake pipes to the brake master cylinder, place a rag under the junctions to collect the leaked brake fluid.
8. Unscrew the nuts securing the brake pipes to the brake master cylinder.
9. Remove brake master cylinder with reservoir.
10. Unscrew the clamping nut and bolt and remove the reservoir from the master cylinder and remove the O-rings from the master cylinder windows.
Repair
Repair of the main brake cylinder can only be carried out with a repair kit of parts. When repairing the master cylinder, pay attention to the location of all elements in order to re-install them in their places. When assembling the master cylinder, lubricate all parts and sealing rings with clean brake fluid.
Repair of the main brake cylinder is carried out in accordance with the instructions attached to the repair kit of parts.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points.
2. If the O-rings are defective, they must be replaced.
3. Check that the brake line connections are securely tightened.
4. Install the wiper arms.
5. Top up the brake fluid and bleed the air from the brake system.
