Note: On 1.6L engine models with the Sagem S2000 system and all 1.6L engine models, the throttle potentiometer is an integral part of the throttle body and cannot be removed.
21. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (see "Disconnecting the battery").
22. Press the clamp and disconnect the throttle potentiometer electrical connector (figure 13.22).

23. Remove the two screws, remove the potentiometer from the throttle shaft and remove it from the vehicle (figure 13.23).

24. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the potentiometer is properly secured to the throttle shaft.
